yet another snow storm. UGH!!! It's miserable out today!! The only good thing about the day is I have it off. I have been quite fortunate this winter and have only had to drive home a few times when it's been storming. Hopefully, this one will end soon and we can be another day closer to spring!!!!
I tried a sketch from Mercy's Blog. I love the simplicity of the layout and used as an opportunity to make a card that was geared more on the masculine side. The papers I used were from my stash and I really don't know who the makes it. I also used my cuttlebug and small star EK Success punch.
This one was made with the weekly Mojo Monday sketch. PP used is from Daisy Bucket, stamp are from Hero Arts. Okay...3rd time is trying time!!!!
Have a happy and safe day.....

Hmm..hard to believe it's Sunday already.
I've had a long weekend and as usual time flies when you're having fun. I spent Friday in Halifax with a friend. Her partner had open heart surgery a couple of weeks ago, so we went to visit him. Rainy had never been to a scrapbook store so I thought it was my responsility to introduce her to Carsand Mosher's and Michaels. I did tell her I was not responsible for any addictions that may occur due to our shopping venture. She went back to the city again yesterday to bring him home so needless to say that makes my heart happy.
I had time to try Mojo Monday As usual, the sketch is great and has generated a huge response. I've used Anne Griffin pp, Magenta stamp, and ribbon from my stash. I bought the Curved Rectangles on Friday and used them in both cards. The second one uses Rhonna Furrer Flower Stems clear stamp and Daisy Bucket pp.
I did this project a while ago and keep forgetting to post it. I have 3 godchildren, 1 lives just up the street and the other 2 live in Texas, so you can only imagine how excited I was to have all three of them to myself for a day.
The frame was a gift, and it seemed just perfect for a project like this.
The pages are very basic as I could not get many layers behind the glass. I used a line of stickers and chipboard from Rob&Bob. Here's hoping you all had a wonderful Valentines yesterday!
Oh..one final note...it's only 33 days until the first day of spring!!!!!!!!!!!

You know how you sometimes see
an idea and you think "I'm sure I can do that!!!." Well, a while back I posted about Birthday Organization. I fell in love with Nicole Heady's idea for a Birthday book and decided to try it. I finally used my Bind It All for binding the book and was very pleased with it. I choose a pink cardstock from Paper Reflections and pp from Paperbilities. I used my Fiskars waterfall punch for the edges of my envelopes. Instead of stamping the lining of the envelopes, I used my Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dot folder. Did I mention I am in LOVE with my Cuttlebug. I kinda cheated with embellishing the front of the book as I had to strategically place things to cover up a glue spot or two!! I used the American Crafts thickers on the cover and if you can tell me how to put those darn things back in the bag without them falling of the backing I'd be most grateful.

It's nice to see the sun
even if it's still cccold out. Had a chance to do the weekly Mojo Monday again. As usual, the sketch is very inspirational. When I last looked at the site, there were close to 200 links to the sketch!!! WOW!! I again used the Basic Grey Urban Prairie line. I love these 6x6 paperpads that are available. They are perfect for card making!!. I also used my nestibilities, chipboard from my stash, Biggie brad and the seniment was computer generated. I'd love to see what you do with this sketch!!
I was blog surfing this morning and found This on The Cuttlebugspot Blog. She also has a couple more videos on her side bar with tutorials on various Cuttlebug ideas. I will place a link on my sidebar also as I see many more awesome ideas coming from this blog.
I love it when it's this easy to make a card!! The stamps are Michaels clear $ stamps. Ribbon from my stash, scallop circle nestibilities and the swiss dots folder. It really can't get much easier than this!!!
